Abstract

The article deals with the development of children in a situation of bilingualism. The factors influencing the place and role of a bilingual child in society are studied; the definition of the concept of bilingualism is given. The article gives recommendations on approaches to the upbringing and education of bilingual children in the family and preschool educational institutions.
