Abstract

This article deals with the comparative study of vowel and consonant systems of English and Uzbek languages. Focuses on the pronunciation of the sounds of both languages, points to the common and different features in sounds´ articulation and acoustics, discusses the most common mistakes made by the Uzbek students in the pronunciation of the English vowels and consonants.
