Abstract

This article is devoted to the analyses of the valuable and basic concepts of ethics, such as virtue and evil. The essence of these notions is studied by interpretation of examples describing protagonist and round character Charles Strickland of Somerset Maugham’s novel “The Moon and Sixpence”.
