Abstract

This scientific article examines the demographic events that occurred in the Samarkand region during the second part of the nineteenth and early XX century, based on colonial political, socioeconomic, and economic policies. The population growth dynamics, economic and marriage interactions as a result of resettlement policies, migration, and trade relations are all discussed.
